About this role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to serve as a Team Lead in Analytical Chemistry & Formulations within our RNA-LNP Formulations group. In this role, you will combine hands-on laboratory expertise in analytical chemistry with leadership responsibilities supporting a team of scientists working on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) and RNA-based formulations.
You will play a key role in driving experimental execution, ensuring high-quality analytical output, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Analytical Chemistry & Formulation Support
Perform and support analytical testing of RNA-lipid nanoparticles using techniques such as HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HIAC, and viscosity measurementsAssist with formulation and characterization of RNA-LNP systems, proteins, and buffer preparations as neededExecute experiments in accordance with established protocols, SOPs, and GLP standardsMaintain accurate, timely documentation using electronic lab notebooksSupport laboratory organization, safety compliance, and operational readinessLeadership & Team Support
Provide day-to-day guidance and performance oversight for a team of scientistsSupport onboarding, training, and development of new team membersParticipate in recruitment and interview processes as neededFoster a positive, collaborative team culture focused on quality and continuous improvementEnsure appropriate workload distribution, shift coverage, and operational efficiencyCommunicate administrative updates and align team activities with organizational goalsPromote adherence to company vision, safety standards, and regulatory complianceBalance hands-on technical contributions with leadership responsibilities Required
B.S. in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 3–4 years of relevant experience, orM.S. with 1–2 years of relevant experienceHands-on experience in RNA-LNP, siRNA, mRNA, or related genetic modalitiesStrong proficiency in chromatography and separation techniques, including HPLCExperience in analytical or formulation development within a laboratory settingDemonstrated leadership or mentoring experience in a scientific environmentStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to design experiments, interpret data, and maintain high-quality documentationComfortable working independently and within a matrixed team environmentPreferred
Experience with in vitro or cellular assaysExposure to biologics such as peptides or monoclonal antibodiesPrior direct people management experienceAuthorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship What to Expect in the Hiring Process:
