Analytical analysis and testing:Independently write, conduct, review, and report scientific inquiriesTroubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentationAssist with test method development and validation effortsEnsure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operationsPerforming pH and OV testingFoster morale and teamworkAttend meetings with client along with group leader or when group leader is absentKeep group leader informed on critical issues in the lab.Communicate with other labs, client, and management when group leader is out of officeBe the “go to person” in the lab when Group leader is out of officeComplete QC chartingMonitor BacklogSupport group leader in organizing testing, scheduling and planning and ensuring testing is completed within TATBe available to group to support group leader with special and high volume projects Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, with occasional off-shift/weekend workStrong leadership, initiative, and team building skillsExcellent communication skills (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company and client policiesAbility to delegate workflow, as requiredAbility to work overtime/weekendsAbility to work in a hot, dusty environment, lift over 50 lbs, and be standing for more than 50% of the shiftAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship Position is full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm.
