About this role
To strengthen our leadership team, we are seeking an experienced and inspirational Business Unit Manager, Microbiology Pharma (100% – Schönenwerd) who will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our business in Switzerland.
In this key leadership role, you will take full strategic and operational ownership of the Microbiology Pharma Business Unit and drive growth, quality, and innovation.
Your responsibilities include:
Strategic and operational leadership of an established microbiology teamEnsuring GMP‑compliant laboratory operations and continuous process improvementsFull responsibility for budget, revenue, profitability, and capacity planningFurther development of the service portfolio and active contribution to business expansionClose collaboration with QA, Operations, Sales, and Eurofins’ international networkCoaching, motivating, and developing your team membersRepresentation of the Business Unit towards customers, partners, and authorities
You are a great match if you bring:
A university degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related fieldSeveral years of leadership experience in a GMP‑regulated laboratory environmentSolid understanding of microbiological methods (e.g., bioburden, environmental monitoring, utility testing (clean water, gas), endotoxin testing, media fills)Strong business mindset; experience with P&L responsibility is a plusExcellent communication and people‑leadership skillsStrong customer focus and ability to effectively prioritise in a dynamic environmentVery good command of English and German What We Offer:
