Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex Company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Patuxent River, MD. This role involves applying advanced engineering principles to design, develop, and evaluate mission-critical military and aviation systems, ensuring compliance with stringent security and technical requirements.

Salary: $160k-$180k annually (negotiable)

Essential Functions:
Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.Perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, and acquisition/resource management.Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to military weapons systems, aviation systems, avionics, and associated support systems.Other duties as assigned or required.Requirements
Required:
At least 10 years of engineering experience, with 5 years specifically related to aviation mission systems or avionics components
Desired:
Experience with legacy VH-3D Operational Flight Program (OFP)Familiarity with VH-60N common Avionics Architecture SystemKnowledge of VH-92A Mission Communications System (MCS) platform unique avionics architecture
Education:
Masters degree and 10 years of expereince OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) and 15 years of experience.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret with Yankee White. Requirements include U.S. Citizenship and successful completion of a security investigation.
