About the Internship Metabolic is looking for a quantitatively-focused Systems Analysis Intern to support our next phase of work: driving place-based transitions across multiple value chains and strengthening the analytical foundations of a regenerative economy. This role sits close to the heart of our mission. We use systems thinking and quantitative analysis to help governments, businesses, investors, and communities navigate complex socio-ecological transitions. As an intern, you will support analytical work that connects the big picture with grounded, regional realities - contributing to projects in food systems, forestry, energy, textiles, the built environment, and other sectors. You will work alongside experienced systems analysts and project leads, contributing to data analysis, systems mapping, modelling, and synthesis. Rather than leading methodologies yourself, you will help build and refine them - gaining hands-on experience in translating complexity into actionable insights.
