Saalex is seeking an Computer Operator III in Point Mugu, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Salary: $27.68 hourly
Work Location: Onsite.
Essential Functions:
A Computer Operator III analyzes existing or proposed systems, designs data processing programs and related procedures to process data, and uses a multi-step process (i.e., system investigation, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance) to bring new or changed systems to meet customer requirements. The employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:
Comply with computer operation policy, standards, and proceduresEnsure general guidelines and technical standards are being metInterpret program requirements, audit auxiliary peripheral units to ascertain correctness of input data, and check condition and arrangement of tapesCoordinate inputs/data in support of meeting contractual requirementsCompile programs for programmers Write minor operational programsOrganize computer input and output of data Investigate and locate source of non-standard irregularitiesAnalyze and recover program operations in complex error situationsProvide support to investigate and troubleshoot problems in operational hardware and software and develop solutions for issues discovered Provide technical support to computer users and organize sequence of events in computer operation cycleProvide general maintenance and installation support of computer equipmentEstablish and maintain a filing system of databases for tracking and inventory of database informationProvide direct customer interface to identify and support database requirementsDesign modifications to current interface to identify and support database requirementsDevelop, process, and submit data reports for technical presentations and meetingsOther duties as assigned or required

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness are required. Travel to remote company work locations may be required.Requirements

Education:
Vocational/technical or military equivalent training beyond high school and a minimum of five years of job-related experience are required for this position required.
Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
