Nicopods ehf. is an Icelandic manufacturer of nicotine pouches, the company is growing fast and expanding internationally. We're looking for a skilled GD Machine Technician to join our production team. About the role: You'll be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our G.D (Coesia Group, Bologna) pouch-filling line, ensuring efficient, high-quality production with minimal downtime. This is a hands-on technical role central to our manufacturing operation. Responsibilities: • Operate and monitor the G.D pouching line during production runs • Perform changeovers, calibration, and routine maintenance • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC/HMI faults, minimizing downtime • Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule • Ensure precise powder dosing and pouch sealing quality, meeting food-grade hygiene and quality standards • Document maintenance, faults, and production data • Collaborate with production and quality teams on continuous improvement Requirements: • Proven experience operating and maintaining G.D (Coesia) machines, or comparable high-speed pouch-filling/sealing equipment (e.g. snus/modern oral pouch lines) • Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment, ideally food, pharma, or consumer goods • Ability to read technical manuals and machine documentation • Willingness to work shifts as required by production schedule • Working proficiency in English (spoken and written) - Valid driving license B What we offer: • Competitive salary in line with Icelandic industry standards according to collective agreements with Efling union. • Role in a fast-growing, internationally ambitious company • Direct impact on production quality and output Employer provides housing or assistance with finding housing in Iceland.
