About this role

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a specialized engineering team within EEDC, supporting delivery of industrial automation and functional safety projects. The role combines people leadership, resource and capacity management, technical leadership, and direct project contribution when required, including acting as Lead Engineer on selected safety-related projects. Main Responsibilities Team Leadership & People Development • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists. • Conduct performance, development, and career discussions in line with company processes. • Support employee engagement, team collaboration, retention, and succession planning. • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and high-quality engineering delivery. Resource, Capacity & Delivery Management • Manage team utilization, workload visibility, resource allocation, and project staffing priorities. • Support recruitment, onboarding, competency planning, and capability development for the team. • Coordinate with project managers, delivery leaders, and other engineering teams to secure adequate resource coverage. • Monitor team objectives and contribute to operational performance, productivity, and delivery reliability. Technical Leadership – Functional Safety & SIS • Provide technical guidance and mentoring on Functional Safety Management (FSM), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and related industrial automation topics. • Support functional safety lifecycle activities, including review of safety requirements, engineering deliverables, verification approach, and project execution practices. • Act as Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or Senior Engineer on selected customer projects when business needs require direct technical contribution. • Support technical estimation, proposal reviews, project risk identification, and solution alignment for SIS, safety PLC, DCS, SCADA, and critical control applications. • Ensure that engineering outputs are aligned with applicable standards, customer requirements, internal quality requirements, cybersecurity expectations, and safety practices. Operational Excellence & Compliance • Support implementation of EEDC strategic initiatives, standard operating practices, and competency roadmaps. • Contribute to continuous improvement activities, quality management system adherence, and audit readiness where applicable. • Promote safe, compliant, and customer-focused execution across assigned engineering activities. • Collaborate with cross-border stakeholders and support regional or global delivery needs as required.
