About this role

The Yard Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company commercial vehicles in the Domino’s yard including backing trailers to dock doors, shuttling tractors or trailers to alternate locations, repositioning trailers in the yard, and assisting the warehouse by unloading empty dough trays. They also may be required to assist with backhauls and/or redeliveries.

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Friday 3am-1130am

PAY: $26.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

(70%) Coordinate, Drive and Park Tractors and Trailers

Inspect the yard to identify and document vehicle defects and appropriately communicate any findings to managementFollow all safety and operational policies, especially in regards to chocking, safety cones and dock signal lightsComplete all Domino’s and legally required safety checksObtain tractor and trailer list from the Delivery and Service office team to make records of:Odometer readingsHub readingsEngine hour readingsEnsure loaded trailers are within regulated temperature parametersEnsure trailers are docked and moved as needed by the WarehouseAssist with the unloading of trailers as neededReposition tractors and trailers in the yard as neededShuttle tractors and trailers to lease company as neededCoordinate washing and cleaning of trailersAssist with backhauls as neededMay be assigned to assist Drivers on designated route(s) to deliver product to Domino's Pizza stores as a teamRepresent the Domino’s brand proudly by following uniform standards and utilizing all required PPEAttend scheduled safety meetings, team meetings, and training sessionsFollow all safety rules, DROP Manual guidelines, customer delivery standards, federal, and provincial regulations(30%) Paperwork and Other Duties

Ensure all required PPE and tools are loaded prior to dispatchComplete all safety tests in a timely mannerComply with Ministry of Transportation, including electronic logsVerify log of driving activities within 10 daysTake accountability and responsibility for assigned trucks and the product loaded in the trailersComplete all applicable paperwork including DVCR, Trip Sheet, and Load Assessment FormsAssist with Warehouse duties as requiredOther duties as assigned High School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 21 years of ageValid AZ License6 months of verifiable CMV driving experience required, 1 year preferredKnowledge of Ministry of Transportation rules and regulationsKnowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulationsPossess a good working knowledge of Canadian geography, with the ability to navigate and coordinate routesMechanical repair knowledge for trucks and trailers is an assetHigh attention to detail with the ability to count, check and confirm quantitiesProactive attitude and takes initiative to prevent issuesTeam oriented and safety mindedAvailable to work shifts that may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day periodPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds on occasionAble to perform heavy pushing/pulling of productAble to balance on ladders, on top of platforms, and equipmentAble to work in refrigerated conditions or extreme temperatures as well as work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery and vibration, both indoors and outdoorsAble to work around yeast and flour Domino's offers:
