About this role
For our client in Ypres, a metal foundry, we are looking for a CNC operator to work in a two-shift system or weekend shift. What will you do? You will operate the CNC machine to ensure that workpieces are machined correctly. How? You set up the CNC machine based on a job file and position the workpiece in the machine. Setting zero points, selecting the correct CNC program, properly adjusting cutting tools... you’ve got it all under control! Once the milling machine has done its job, you check the finished piece using measurement instructions and technical drawings. Not quite right? Then you can adjust the zero point and/or the tooling accordingly. Cleaning and deburring the workpieces are also part of your responsibilities. Finally, you register the finished parts and... move on to the next one! Who are we looking for? Strong independent worker: You enjoy working independently on machines, while still collaborating closely with your great team. Control systems hold no secrets for you: You have knowledge of geometric axes and various control systems (preferably Siemens 840D). Knowledge of computer programs: You can read and interpret programs based on ISO coding. Experienced metalworker: You have experience as a CNC operator or have completed relevant technical training. Shifts: You are willing to work in a two-shift system or in a fixed weekend shift.
