Data Center Engineering Technician (m/f/d) Location: Greater Frankfurt Area, Germany (On-site) Contract: Initial 6-month contract with potential extension Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) Schedule: 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 About the Role We are currently looking for several Data Center Engineering Technicians to support the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure within modern data center environments in the Frankfurt region. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with an electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, building systems, or automation background who enjoy working directly with mission-critical equipment and facilities. You will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems while ensuring high operational standards across the facility. Key Responsibilities - Perform routine inspections and facility walkthroughs - Monitor critical infrastructure systems including: - UPS systems - Medium-voltage electrical systems - Generators - Cooling systems - Building Management Systems (BMS) - Fire detection systems - Assist with troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related issues - Monitor and coordinate contractor activities on site - Issue and manage work permits while ensuring compliance with safety procedures - Collect operational readings and maintain accurate documentation - Support daily operational activities within the data center environment - Follow strict safety and operational procedures Required Qualifications - Associate Degree, Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in: - Electrical Engineering - Mechanical Engineering - Mechatronics - Industrial Maintenance - Building Systems Engineering - Automation Technology - Comparable technical field - Basic troubleshooting skills - Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or circuit diagrams - Familiarity with hand and power tools - Strong commitment to safety standards - Excellent willingness to learn and develop technical skills - Ability to work independently and follow established procedures - Good communication skills Physical Requirements - Ability to lift equipment up to approximately 16 kg - Comfortable working on ladders and uneven surfaces - Ability to perform hands-on technical work within a data center environment Essential Skills 1. Technical education or engineering background 2. Understanding of workplace safety principles 3.
