Lang is seeking a Research Assistant to work with an NSSR faculty member.
POSITION/ROLE OVERVIEW Lang seeks graduate students to serve as Research Assistants for departments, labs, and affiliated centers with good attention to detail, independent project management skills, and strong writing and organizational skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conceive new research questions and assist faculty in developing continued research questions
• Support faculty in literature reviews
• Analyze data
• Prepare work for presentation and publication
• Please be sure to discuss with your supervisor the specific expectations for your assignment
QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior office or administrative experience
• Strong writing skills
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Proficient / Advanced in Excel and Google Sheet with the ability to organize and manage large amounts of information
• Comfortable with all aspects of Zoom
• Ability to maintain to student privacy (FERPA)
WORK MODE
• Hybrid/Split - Employees hired for this position have regularly scheduled, consistent percentage of time on campus (ex 1-4x/week) and also work some of the time remotely. #LI-DNI
Hourly Rate: $31.37/hr
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902 and the University.

Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant will support an Lang faculty member with research activities, including developing research questions, conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and assisting with presentations and publications. The role requires strong writing, organizational, and project management skills, proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, and Zoom, and the ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality. This is a hybrid graduate student position that provides hands-on experience in academic research and scholarly collaboration.
