We’re looking for a Quality Engineering Manager who will champion engineering excellence and embed quality at the heart of how we design, build, and deliver software. This is a role for someone who loves improving systems, influencing engineering culture, and enabling teams to deliver high‑quality change with confidence.
What You’ll Do:
• Take accountability for the quality of software used across our practices and client‑facing platforms
• Define and embed quality engineering standards across Medivet and with third‑party partners
• Improve visibility and transparency of quality throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Partner with engineering and architecture teams to ensure systems are designed for testability, reliability, and maintainability
• Drive the adoption of AI‑assisted engineering and testing tools where they add meaningful value
• Increase the use of automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines
• Expand automated testing across our applications and reduce reliance on manual regression testing
What You’ll Bring:
• We’re looking for someone who blends technical depth with strong leadership and coaching skills. You’ll have:
• Experience testing distributed systems, APIs, and exposure to event‑driven architectures
• Strong hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining automated tests
• A track record of improving CI/CD quality gates and automated validation
• Experience shaping user stories and acceptance criteria to support effective testing
• Knowledge of test data setup, database observation, and scenario simulation
• Familiarity with observability and production monitoring
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without direct authority
• Experience implementing multiple types of testing
• A collaborative mindset that puts team success first
• Confidence working autonomously and driving initiatives forward
Why Medivet? You’ll be joining a team that’s passionate about improving the technology that underpins exceptional veterinary care. We’re investing in modern engineering practices, empowering our teams, and building systems that truly make a difference in the lives of pets and the people who care for them. If you’re excited by the idea of shaping quality engineering across a growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
