Tasks and Qualifications: This role requires full ownership of the territory, including market development, customer engagement, opportunity qualification, and closing of complex, long-cycle projects. The individual will work closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Solutions Development, After Market, and Finance to deliver competitive and high-quality solutions.
The position demands a proactive “hunter” mindset, with strong discipline in pipeline generation, customer follow-up, and CRM management. At the same time, the role requires the ability to build long-term relationships and identify repeat business opportunities within existing accounts. The Account Manager Senior will also play a key role in shaping Dematic’s market positioning in the Bajío, identifying industry trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities that support long-term growth in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Territory Ownership
• Own and develop the Bajío region commercial strategy. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market mapping. • Build and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with revenue targets. • Penetrate target accounts and expand Dematic’s footprint in the region.
Account Management
• Develop and manage strategic customer relationships. • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and repeat business opportunities. • Understand customer operations, challenges, and long-term needs. • Position Dematic as a trusted advisor and long-term partner.
Sales Execution
• Lead the full sales cycle: qualification, solution development, proposal, negotiation, and closing. • Collaborate with Engineering and Solutions teams to define optimal solutions. • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations. • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal capabilities.
Commercial Discipline
• Maintain accurate and disciplined CRM (Salesforce) management. • Develop forecasts, budgets, and pipeline visibility. • Track opportunity progress and ensure timely follow-up. • Align with internal processes and approval workflows.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
• Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs in the Bajío region. • Provide insights to leadership on growth opportunities. • Support definition of vertical strategies (Automotive, Retail, 3PL, Manufacturing). • Contribute to long-term commercial planning in Mexico.
Required Profile
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. • Advanced English proficiency (required).
Experience
• 5–10 years of experience in: • Technical sales • Industrial automation • Material handling • Supply chain solutions
• Proven experience selling complex solutions. • Experience managing long sales cycles. • Experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
