Reporting to: Functional Engineering Lead – HROC
Job Purpose:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to multiple cement plants within a designated region, led and coordinated by area CCC. You will collaborate effectively across departments to achieve shared goals.
Based in a central location remote to the plants, you will collaborate closely with plant teams and CCC specialists to optimize reliability & reduce maintenance costs and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the region. Regular travel to the plant sites including longer stays at plant will be required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Drive adoption of predictive maintenance technologies, including Vibration analysis, Thermography, Oil analysis & Online monitoring systems • Prepare preventive MTN plans for plant equipment • Develop the Inspection master plan (preventive & predictive) • Lead and facilitate root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for Repeated equipment failures, Major breakdowns, Process-related reliability issues • Ensure sustainable corrective actions are implemented and tracked • Build capability within plant teams on structured problem-solving methods • Analyse and Interpret condition monitoring data and translate insights into actionable work orders • Support plants in transitioning from emergency based to condition-based maintenance • Optimize preventive maintenance strategies & support plants in PM plans planning and scheduling • Analize trends (PX trend – vibrations – lubricants analysis reports) to anticipate potential failures and optimize equipment operation • Prepare SAP PM work orders in case indications / failures are detected • Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment condition data in the maintenance system by preparing and updating Historical Equipment Record • Use SAP PM and Infor EAM to Analyze maintenance history, improve work order quality and data accuracy • Support digital initiatives within HROC and asset performance management • Lead and apply regional reliability engineering strategies in coordination with area CCCs to improve equipment performance, uptime, and maintenance cost effectiveness across multiple cement plants. • Collaborate with CCC specialists and outage planner and plant maintenance teams to optimize maintenance outage planning and asset performance strategies. • Develop and implement effective spare parts management strategies across the plants supported, ensuring identification and availability of critical spare parts, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs.
Job Qualifications, Requirements & Experience: Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field • Minimum 8 years previous experience in reliability engineering within a cement, heavy industrial, or continuous manufacturing environment. • Strong working knowledge of reliability principles, condition-based maintenance, and root cause analysis methodologies. • Strong working knowledge in spectrum analysis and interpretation (CAT II, CAT III are of an advantage) • Strong working knowledge in usage of SAP PM & Infor EAM • Proficiency with preventive, predictive maintenance technologies and computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM & Infor EAM). • Strong training and coaching abilities. • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively with international stakeholders in English. French and German language skills are of advantage • Willingness to extensive travelling abroad including longer stays at plants.
