About this role
Job Description Summary You will be a core member of the Digital Implementation Services team, responsible for orchestrating the energy transition by designing, building, and delivering high-performance integration solutions. You will be instrumental in tailoring GridOS Data Connect and Data Fabric modules to meet complex utility customer needs, ensuring seamless data flow across the next-generation digital grid
Job Description Key Responsibilities:
• GridOS Orchestration: Architect, implement, and test integration flows utilizing the GridOS Data Connect SDK to facilitate real-time data ingestion and exchange. • Data Fabric Integration: Develop and maintain interfaces that leverage GridOS Data Fabric to harmonize IT/OT data, ensuring scalability and security for grid-edge applications. • Custom Tailoring: Adapt out-of-the-box product capabilities to fit unique customer utility landscapes, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability. • Full-Lifecycle Delivery: Own the end-to-end integration lifecycle—from requirements analysis and technical design to deployment, troubleshooting, and production support. • Collaboration: Work within a global, cross-functional team to translate customer grid requirements into robust, high-throughput software interfaces.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field. • Core Programming: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java or Kotlin, with deep proficiency in Spring Boot/related frameworks. • Data & Integration: Strong hands-on experience in RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, and Message Queues (MQ/Kafka). • DevOps & Cloud: Demonstrated experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions). • Technical Toolset: Proficient in Git, Confluence, Jira, Maven, and Nexus. • Methodology: Proven experience in Agile development and Test-Driven Development (TDD) environments.
Desirable Skills & Competencies:
• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in the Energy/Utility domain (ADMS, DERMS, or SCADA integration) is a significant advantage. • Integration Mindset: Experience in building middleware, data pipelines, or ETL processes. • Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with the GridOS architecture or similar industrial IoT/data orchestration platforms.
Personal Characteristics (The "GE Vernova Way"):
• Analytical Rigor: A proven track record of solving complex system-level problems and debugging distributed architectures. • Proactive Ownership: A "founder’s mindset"—you are self-propelled, capable of identifying bottlenecks before they escalate, and you take full ownership of your deliverables from design to production. • Adaptable Learner: You thrive on rapidly mastering new product modules and complex customer workflows in a high-stakes grid environment. • Collaborative Integrator: You bridge the gap between technical complexity and customer value, acting as a trusted partner to both your team and your stakeholders.
