Job Description Summary FLIGHT DECK is GE Aerospace’s lean operating model for driving continuous improvement and business performance. Based on lean principles, it helps teams improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost through standard work, visual management, problem solving, and flow-based operations across both shop-floor and functional environments.

We are looking for a Flight Deck Specialist who can partner with business leaders to drive transformation, lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of operational excellence. The role requires strong leadership, coaching, and change management skills, with the ability to deploy Flight Deck tools, guide value stream improvements, and influence adoption across the organization.

Job Description Essential Responsibilities

• Be partner of business Leader in the Flight Deck transformation journey

• Drive & foster a Continuous improvement culture, where the whole team owns transformation plan

• Lead complex & inter-functional improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performance

• Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices

• Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Flight Deck strategy for process improvement

• Ability to document current and plan for future Value Stream Map, presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders

• Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations

• Facilitate, train, and coach other team members in the use of Flight Deck tools

• Will be GEAPS advocate in the Area assigned, in order to drive adoption & cultural evolution

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace or Industrial)

• Previous experience in operational or technical roles in a complex manufacturing environment

• Understanding of manufacturing processes

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and use the Problem Solving Approach

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong relationship & leadership skills: able to influence, motivate and work effectively within a matrix environment

• Fluency in Italian and English

• knowledge and application on Lean Manufacturing Methodology and tools

• Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired characteristics

• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing

• Green Belt Certification

Contract Level: CCNL metalmeccanico – B2 Salary range for this role: 42,225.00 - 56,300.00 EUR Annual ​ + Performance-related bonus + PDR up to 6000 euro Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate’s experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
