About this role
We're looking for a Senior Individual Contributor who will be responsible for driving strategically important projects, areas of focus, and strategies across the commercial sales business for AWS in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). This role is responsible for the innovation, incubation, and execution of ANZ-wide initiatives that impact the entirety of our AWS customer base. Beyond specific initiative responsibilities, this leader will seek to identify and resolve cross-organizational challenges and opportunities for increased productivity across the entire AWS ANZ organisation. In this role you’ll own high-priority cross functional initiatives and liaise across various internal functions like sales, finance, legal, tax, and marketing providing the glue to keep the project/initiatives organised and on track. This role will require coordination across local, regional and global senior leadership, and maximise the MD's leverage including supporting external and customer engagements. Reporting directly into the Managing Director of AWS in ANZ, we are looking for a highly motivated professional who is able to self-start, cut through ambiguity, work with and through other teams to deliver outcomes, move fast, and roll-up their sleeves when needed. Key job responsibilities • Scale through a team and influence without direct reporting line authority. • Has the ability to get things done with and through others at scale. Eloquently balancing quality with progress over perfection. • Ability to lead in a highly ambiguous environment with an even keel and with limited direction/oversight. • The candidate must be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal) who can influence, respectfully challenge, build credibility, and articulate recommendations to senior (VP level) executives. • Proven ability to drive alignment between a diverse set of stakeholders to drive transformational outcomes • Be a steward of the Amazonian culture. • Be a proactive and visibly inclusive leader who is able to account for the diverse cultural nuances that make up ANZ and bridge those to global mindsets & priorities. • Have an ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
