About this role
AWS Startups is seeking an AI Operations Lead to join our Global Startups Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of AI-driven transformation, operational execution, and go-to-market strategy, supporting a globally distributed Ops team that serves one of AWS's fastest-growing businesses. The AI Operations Lead will drive AI adoption and productivity initiatives across the Startups Operations team and field teams, own and run the internal operating rhythm to ensure proper execution against goals, and contribute to go-to-market initiatives including executive insights, coverage analysis, and strategic reporting. The ideal candidate is deeply curious about AI tools and trends, proactively collaborates across the broader organization and beyond to identify and adapt AI solutions for Startup Operations use cases, and evangelizes successful implementations back to the wider team. Key job responsibilities The successful candidate will identify manual workflows ripe for automation, scope and build AI-powered solutions, coordinate working groups across AI workstreams, and measure the productivity impact of AI adoption. They will design and run team review cadences, track deliverables and milestones, surface risks early, and drive accountability. They will also support executive insights through data analysis and narrative development, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives including go-to-market motions, organizational design, incentive compensation modeling, and resource deployment. Strong program management skills are essential, with the ability to drive multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver on tight timelines. High ownership is required; the ideal candidate will see gaps, take initiative, and drive solutions without waiting for direction. The candidate should be a natural connector who proactively seeks out what other teams are building with AI and finds ways to bring those learnings into the Ops team, while also being comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, working across time zones, and influencing without authority. They must work effectively with diverse stakeholders including sales, operations, business development, technical, marketing, partner, finance, HR, and legal.
