The Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco (AGFT) Division of Service Nova Scotia is the regulatory body charged with administering Part II of the Gaming Control Act, parts of the Liquor Control Act, and the Theatres and Amusements Act. The AGFT issues approximately 13,000 licenses annually, and provides in counter service to approximately 3,100 annually.
About Our Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Gaming Analyst (Engineer 4), the Gaming Analyst is responsible for providing reasonable assurance to government and the general public that all new and existing lottery schemes in the Province are conducted in accordance with the Gaming Control Act and Regulations, gaming standards, and applicable terms and conditions. Lottery schemes include, but are not limited to, online raffle systems, online gaming platforms and casinos, slot machines, Video Lottery Terminals, raffles, games of chance, table games, bingo, break open tickets, lotteries, and all associated hardware and software that may impact the integrity of the gaming environment.
Primary Accountabilities
Provide enforcement of the Gaming Control Act and regulations made under the Act to ensure compliance of lottery schemes within the gaming industry in the province. Support enforcement activities under the Liquor Control Act, Theatres and Amusement Act, Smoke-Free Places Act and associated regulations.</sp
