About this role
*This position is for a full time MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST at our SOUTHSIDE LOCATION. *
*This is a Monday to Friday position*
*9:00am to 5:00pm *
The preferred candidate will have strong multitasking skills and be extremely organized.
*Main Role:*
*Front-end duties which include but are not limited to assisting the Respiratory Therapist or Clinical Nurse with the patients. *
* *Checking in patients* * *handling phone, fax and email* * *coordinating treatment with physician offices* * *Handling diagnostic testing equipment and reprocessing* * *Following the College of Physician and Surgeon standards of practice for sleep medicine* * *Maintaining Inventory *
A candidate with strong computer skills and multitasking is essential. EMR experience is preferred with Collaborative Health Records experience an asset but not required. English language proficiency is required.
*Experience and Skills:*
Extremely organization and willing to work in a stressful environment independently.
Experience in patient care. Handling patient requests.
Be able to work independently as well as in team oriented situations
Maintain a professional appearance to clients and patients
Maintain a presentable office by tidying up between patients
Monitor inventory
Ability to maintain a professional work environment at all times
Excellent customer service skills
The desire and ability to learn and grow with the company
Attention to detail
Ability to retain product knowledge of various items
