Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Broiler and other meat-type chicken production. Chicken farming. Layer poultry farming. Organic farming. Outdoors. At heights. Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Odours. Wet/damp. Dairy. All weather conditions. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Handling animals. Monitoring animal health. Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving. Treat livestock health issues. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Milk cows. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Perform general farm duties. Set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops. Equipment and machinery experience: Egg gathering system. Feeding and watering system. Milking system (automated). Automated systems experience: Manure handling and storage. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines.
