Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses. Develop specific plans to prioritize. Diagnose livestock health issues. Direct farm feed inventory activities . Direct farm grooming activities . Groom horses in preparation for competitions and shows. Handling animals. Mixing fertilizer. Monitoring animal health. Organize tasks to accomplish the work. Oversee the activities of clearing the fields. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Treat livestock health issues. Weeding. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Formulate feeding program. Maintain livestock performance records. Select livestock for sale. Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs. Train horses. Maintain work records and logs. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Perform general farm duties.
