Job Description Summary
The Supply Planner is responsible for driving the end-to-end supply planning strategy across India sites. This role ensures the optimal balance between demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and service levels while supporting business growth and operational excellence. It involves planning of all commercial, R&D and new launches working closely with cross-functional stakeholders. This role is responsible for coordination with the Dublin Supply Chain team for planning of finished goods dispatch commitments and monthly dispatch schedule adherence. The role needs to drive focused execution of long and short-term goals of the organization.
Job Description
Supply Planning:
• Demand-supply balancing and market coordination with Dublin Supply chain team for rolling monthly finished goods commitments • End-to-end planning, maintenance of optimal finished goods inventory in the channel, and managing mode of shipment to minimize backorders
Dispatch Planning:
• Working with the global Logistics and Dublin Supply Chain team on mode of shipment • Coordinating with Dublin Supply Chain and site warehouse to streamline SAP POs to support dispatch plans
Inventory Management:
• Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure that materials are maintained at appropriate levels to meet production requirements, while reducing non-moving stock and minimizing write offs. • Working with the cross-functional team on possibilities of salvaging or privisioning of non-moving material inventory • Driving the MRB process and providing routine write off proposals across all India sites.
Stores Management:
• Management of Digha R&D Stores including management of receipts, material issuance, handling of solvent storage area, controlled substances and compliances
MIS Preparation:
• Circulation of reports including weekly dispatch actuals report, weekly dispatch projections, weekly FG inventory coverage report and key performance indicators (MPSA & OTIF)
Projects:
• Monitoring and tracking execution of new product launches, site transfer & alternate vendor development projects • Undertaking process improvement projects to optimize/automate planning activities
Education & Experience:
• 5-10 years’ of relevant work experience, preferable in pharma supply chain • Preferable if MBA or equivalent degree.
