About this role
Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Psychiatry-Partial Hospital Program Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 8 Summary: SCHEDULE: PRN; must be able to work at least 4 shifts per month. Scheduled hours will be between 7:30am-4:00pm CST, Monday-Friday. The PHP is closed weekends and holidays.
The Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients, ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and works on call as needed.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field. Minimum requirements changed March 2022. Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college. Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.
• Child growth and development education required
• Pediatric experience preferred
Certification/Licensure:
• BLS or must be completed within 60 days of start date
• CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date
