The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified IV Ambulatory performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role oversees workflows and regulatory standards.
Essential Job Function:
• Maintains pharmacy workflow; including but not limited to compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, distribution of medication in compliance with current standards or obtaining a complete and accurate medication history based on organization standard. • Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians. • Serves as a mentor in the training and orientation of new employees. • Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives. • Communicates effectively with team members in and outside of pharmacy, providing quality customer service. • Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.
Education:
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
• Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
• Required: Certified Pharmacy Technician.
Work Shift : Days/No Weekends (United States of America) On Call Required No FTE: 1 Job Type: Full Time (40 Hours/Week)
