Our people make all the difference in our success. The Rapid Response Registered Nurse RN provides immediate, specialized care to patients in urgent or critical situations. Working under general supervision, this position facilitates prompt and appropriate interventions in medical emergencies.
Essential Job Function:
• Responds to medical emergencies and provides immediate care to patients to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care in emergency situations. • Analyzes patient conditions and provides rapid response interventions to ensure that patients receive the best possible care based on their individual needs and medical conditions. • Prepares documentation related to patient care to ensure that patient care is well-documented and that accurate records are maintained. • Reviews policies and procedures related to patient care and safety to ensure that patient care is delivered in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies and procedures. • Seeks advice from senior management regarding challenging rapid response situations that require deeper understanding. • Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals involved in rapid response to ensure high-quality care. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing. • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Experience:
• Required: 2 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS or NIH certification.
