Job Description Summary:
JOB SUMMARY Coordinate and execute key QA function related to Governance, Culture sustainability and organizational QFS maturity
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: QFS Culture & Capability Development
• Deliver QFS, GMP, HACCP, and food safety training programs to technicians and plant personnel, and assess training effectiveness against competency development plans and QMS requirements. • Lead the deployment and promotion of the QFS Near Miss program, including reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and effectiveness verification. • Conduct behavior-based Gemba walks and provide coaching to strengthen quality ownership and compliance across all operational areas. • Coordinate and drive QFS awareness campaigns and initiatives to enhance quality and food safety culture throughout the plant.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Maintain and continuously improve GMP standards across all plant facilities and manufacturing areas. • Monitor and verify the effective implementation of GMP programs by both production teams and outsourced service providers. • Conduct GMP inspections, audits, and performance assessments, and communicate results to relevant stakeholders. • Ensure the effective execution of pest control programs, including contractor management, trend analysis, and availability of required tools and consumables. • Follow up on GMP-related corrective actions and verify their timely and effective closure. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
• Execute process quality assurance plans and verification activities across manufacturing, packaging, warehousing, and distribution operations in compliance with KORE, CPS, applicable regulatory requirements, and ISO standards. • Lead and participate in quality and food safety risk assessments, ensuring effective mitigation actions and verification of their effectiveness. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), HACCP plans, prerequisite programs (PRPs), and food safety controls. • Validate and verify FSMS effectiveness through audit results, verification activities, performance reviews, and management reporting. • Analyze quality and process performance data using trend analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and process capability tools (Cp/Cpk) to identify opportunities for improvement. • Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving activities using structured methodologies and ensure sustainable corrective and preventive actions are implemented. • Manage non-conforming materials, products, and processes, ensuring proper investigation, disposition, and corrective action implementation. • Conduct CAPA effectiveness reviews and ensure long-term closure of identified issues. • Perform routine verification of HACCP plans, allergen management programs, food safety training plans, and other FSMS elements. • Monitor temperature and relative humidity compliance for inbound, in-process, and outbound materials and products. • Track, analyze, and report quality KPIs and process capability indicators to support operational excellence and continuous improvement objectives. • Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits, ensuring effective follow-up and closure of audit findings.
Projects, Validation & Change Management
• Participate in cross-functional project teams and support the quality requirements of new projects and process changes. • Lead validation and verification activities for new products, ingredients, equipment, packaging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes. • Develop, execute, and document validation protocols, trials, and reports to ensure compliance with quality and food safety requirements. • Manage change control activities and ensure all changes are assessed, approved, validated, and implemented according to established procedures. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with company food safety policies, regulatory requirements, customer standards, KORE requirements, and applicable certification schemes. • Support traceability exercises, mock recalls, food defense, and food fraud prevention programs. • Participate in food safety incident investigations and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented. • Promote continuous improvement of food safety performance through risk-based thinking and proactive management of food safety risks.
EOHS
• Encourage appropriate positive attitudes towards EOHS. • Apply relevant EOHS policy and procedures. • Actively participate in near miss reporting, EOHS inspections, audits, and risk assessment. • Ensure all hazards and incidents are reported and investigated appropriately and suitable controls are implemented. • Has the authority to stop any activity that violates the company EOSH management system. • Participating in the Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program
Food Safety
• Fully committed to comply with the food safety policy and to the continuous improvement of the food safety system/framework. • Has the authority to stop any activity that violates the company QFS management system.
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS
• Years of experience: 1– 3 • A degree in a technical discipline, Food science, Chemical engineering, pharmacy or Science. • Awareness in quality and food industry. • Background in statistical Quality Control techniques. • Basic Knowledge in Quality and food safety standards • Knowledge in concentrate and Beverage Base manufacturing processes is an advantage. • Good Communication skills with different levels of the organization. • Basic knowledge of digital tools and applications • English & Arabic proficiency
