About this role
Job Description Summary:
Senior Director, Business Delivery - Coke ON Team: Product & Operation — OU Digital, Japan & South Korea Operating Unit Reports To: Senior Director, Product & Operation Lead
The Coca-Cola Company is evolving into a more digital-first, data-driven enterprise to fuel sustainable growth, increase speed to market, and unlock new sources of value. Rapid advances in technology, data, and AI create a unique opportunity to accelerate The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) system's next chapter of growth by reimagining our core competitive advantages. Building on a strong foundation of modernized infrastructure, global digital experiences, early data capabilities, and proven use cases, we are now shifting from early wins to scaled, end-to-end impact on growth, productivity, and efficiency.
This next phase moves us from an analog world to a fully digitized one, powered by a digital growth engine that embeds data, technology, and AI into our most critical business domains. Success will require more than technology implementation — it demands a strategic transformation of core capabilities, a domain-based, product-centric operating model, and a cultural shift toward experimentation, data and technology fluency, and seamless partnership between business and digital teams.
Within the Japan & South Korea Operating Unit, Coke ON is a unique digital asset in the global Coca-Cola system: Japan's proprietary consumer loyalty platform operating on the world's highest-density vending machine network. JKOU is transforming Coke ON from a vending loyalty app into an omnichannel consumer engagement platform — personalizing rewards and content at the individual user level, expanding loyalty beyond vending, gamifying the experience, and building brand-led communities. This transformation makes Coke ON both a significant growth engine and a critical point of differentiation for JKOU's business performance.
Job Description Summary The Senior Director, Business Delivery - COKE ON owns the end-to-end content strategy and editorial direction for the Coke ON consumer experience. The role oversees storytelling, campaign content, in-app communications, and brand consistency to maximize consumer engagement and loyalty participation.
As the editorial owner of the Coke ON platform, the role shapes how Coca-Cola brands show up in consumers' daily digital lives — connecting brand strategy, seasonal campaigns, and personalized content into a coherent, high-quality consumer experience that drives engagement, frequency, and loyalty. The role is accountable for content's contribution to Coke ON's core growth metrics — engagement, retention, and loyalty participation — translating editorial strategy into measurable business impact.
Responsibilities include
• Define and own the Coke ON content experience and editorial calendar, aligned with brand priorities, campaign plans, and platform growth objectives.
• Lead editorial direction across in-app content, campaign storytelling, notifications, and consumer communications.
• Ensure brand consistency, tone of voice, and content quality across all Coke ON touchpoints and partner brand activations.
• Partner with IMX and brand teams to translate marketing strategies into engaging platform-native content experiences.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing/UX and Data teams to personalize content at scale and optimize engagement through data-driven insights.
• Oversee content production workflows, including internal teams, agencies, and vendor partners, ensuring speed and quality.
• Measure content performance against engagement and loyalty participation metrics, and iterate continuously.
• Ensure editorial compliance with legal, privacy, and brand governance requirements.
• Own content-driven performance targets (e.g., engagement rate, session frequency, loyalty participation, campaign conversion) and report results against business goals to senior leadership, adjusting strategy to close gaps.
Organizational Impact
• Directly shapes consumer engagement and loyalty participation on JKOU's largest owned consumer platform.
• Owns the editorial dimension of the Coke ON transformation from functional rewards toward emotional brand engagement.
• Leads content teams, agencies, and vendor partners in a fast-cycle production environment.
• Accountable for the editorial function's measurable contribution to Coke ON's engagement, retention, and loyalty participation targets — a direct input to JKOU's platform growth and consumer-value objectives.
Innovation & Complexity
• Pioneers platform-native content formats — gamified missions, digital collectibles, community content — that go beyond traditional campaign assets.
• Balances brand consistency with rapid experimentation and personalization at the individual user level.
• Applies performance data and consumer insight to continuously evolve editorial strategy.
Communication & Influence
• Influences brand, IMX, and business stakeholders on content strategy and editorial trade-offs.
• Aligns internal teams, agencies, and vendors around a unified editorial vision and calendar.
• Communicates content performance and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile A senior editorial and content leader with deep experience in consumer digital platforms, brand storytelling, and content operations at scale. • 10+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial leadership, or digital brand marketing, ideally on consumer apps or platforms at scale.
• Proven ability to lead editorial operations across internal teams, agencies, and vendors.
• Strong understanding of Japanese consumer culture, media behavior, and brand communication.
• Experience using engagement data and A/B testing to optimize content performance.
• Excellent editorial judgment, brand sensibility, and stakeholder management skills.
• Native-level Japanese required; business-level English required.
