Job Description Summary:

Job Summary The Senior Manager, Policy Advocacy and Communications is responsible for leading strategic policy communications and advocacy to protect and advance The Coca-Cola Company’s business and reputation in Korea.

This role plays a critical role in identifying, monitoring, and responding to elevated public policy risks with significant business impact in Korea, with a primary and immediate focus on sugar tax–related policies and broader public health and regulatory debates. The position leads proactive and reactive policy communications, ensuring Coca-Cola’s perspectives, commitments, and actions are communicated credibly through the right messages, channels, and stakeholders.

Working closely with OU/global teams, SRA and the bottler, this role serves as a strategic advisor on policy risk, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy, contributing to the company’s license to operate and win in the Korean market. In parallel, this role oversees sustainability advocacy and partnerships with NGOs and local municipalities, ensuring strong collaboration and impactful communications aligned with global sustainability priorities.

Key Responsibilities Policy Advocacy

• Lead development and execution of policy and regulation advocacy strategies addressing high‑risk regulatory and policy topics

• Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of regulatory and policy developments, public discourse, and emerging risks

• Manage external agencies supporting policy and regulation monitoring, intelligence gathering, and communications execution

• Translate complex regulatory and policy issues into clear, credible, and locally resonant communications

• Drive stakeholder engagement strategies with academia, NGOs, industry associations, and other relevant parties as part of policy communications

Policy Stakeholder Communications

• Develop integrated narratives connecting policy, sustainability, and business priorities

• Activate the right communication channels (earned, owned, stakeholder briefings, third‑party engagement) based on regulatory and stakeholder assessment

• Support media engagement, thought leadership, and external speaking opportunities related to policy and sustainability topics

• Act as a connector across PACS, TISC, bottler, and internal stakeholders

Sustainability Partnerships

• Lead TCCF (The Coca-Cola Global Foundation) projects in Korea in partnership with NGOs, local municipalities, and bottling partners

• Build, manage, and strengthen partnerships aligned with global sustainability priority ad frameworks

• Collaborate with OU and global teams to ensure alignment with global strategies and commitments

• Drive advocacy and communications that reinforce Coca‑Cola’s role as a responsible and trusted partner

Qualifications & Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public affairs, policy communications, sustainability, or issue management

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; communications, public policy, public affairs, sustainability, or related fields preferred

• Demonstrated experience managing policy‑related issues with material business impact, preferably in regulated or highly scrutinized industries

• Strong understanding of policy processes, stakeholder ecosystems, and advocacy communications

• Proven ability to quickly learn and translate complex policy and sustainability topics into clear and credible communications

• Experience working with NGOs, external agencies, and cross‑functional, matrixed organizations

• High learning agility, curiosity, and comfort operating in ambiguity and evolving issue landscapes

• Excellent strategic thinking with the ability to connect policy risk, reputation, and business outcomes

• Fluent Korean (native‑level proficiency) required; strong working proficiency in English required

• Strong project and stakeholder management skills

• High professional maturity, sound judgment, and integrity
