The Physician operates in a team with other clinic healthcare providers and support staff. The Physician provides patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based, multi-specialty group practice. In addition, the Physician provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.The duties include, but are not limited to:
• Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery • Treatment of acute illnesses • Treatment of acute injuries • Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene • Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field • Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals • Performs a variety of tasks • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected • Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonuses • Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) • Licensed in the state of New Jersey • Board certified or Board eligible • Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice (i.e., family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics) • DEA controlled substances registration • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification • Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate • Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members • Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries • Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations
The compensation range for this position is $225,000-$350,000. Compensation is based on level and requirements of the role, as well as percent of net collections. Provided range is based on first year of employment
