Job Family Group: Procurement & Supply Chain Management Group Job Description: Job Purpose To lead and manage end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high service performance. The role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, cost control, safety, and continuous improvement while ensuring seamless coordination between production, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management
• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch • Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and stock control practices (FIFO/FEFO where applicable) • Control warehouse space utilization, layout, and material handling systems • Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and audit requirements
Logistics & Transportation Management
• Plan and control inbound and outbound logistics activities (domestic and international) • Coordinate with freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers • Ensure timely delivery of materials/products to meet operational and customer requirements • Monitor transportation performance, route optimization, and cost efficiency
Production & Material Flow Support (Shopfloor Integration)
• Ensure timely and accurate material supply to production lines (line feeding, replenishment, staging) • Monitor and optimize material flow, layout, and line-feeding concepts • Resolve operational issues such as shortages, incorrect supply, and bottlenecks in real time • Coordinate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams
Cost Control & Performance Management
• Manage logistics and warehouse costs (transport, storage, labor, utilities) • Monitor KPIs such as delivery performance, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency • Analyze data and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives • Prepare operational reports and present insights to management
Third-Party & Supplier Management
• Manage and evaluate performance of 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners • Ensure compliance with contract terms, KPIs, and service level agreements (SLAs) • Identify opportunities for supplier performance improvement and cost reduction
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, waste reduction) • Identify process gaps and implement standardized workflows • Lead warehouse and logistics optimization projects (capacity, flow, automation, system improvements) • Apply root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
Compliance, Safety & Quality
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., customs, labor, IEAT if applicable) • Maintain high standards in workplace safety, HSSE, and operational risk control • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits • Ensure proper use and maintenance of logistics equipment
Systems & Data Management
• Utilize ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP) for inventory, transactions, and reporting • Ensure data accuracy for inventory, shipments, and documentation • Manage logistics documentation (shipping docs, invoices, packing lists, etc.)
Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Procurement, Sales, Planning, Quality) • Coordinate with external stakeholders (logistics providers, customers, authorities) • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation and strong communication across functions
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics teams • Plan manpower and allocate resources effectively • Drive performance, discipline, and engagement within the team • Build a continuous improvement culture
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• On-time delivery / IFOT (In-Full-On-Time) • Inventory accuracy • Logistics and warehouse cost efficiency • Safety performance (zero incident target) • Productivity improvement / process efficiency • Supplier / 3PL performance
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations (manufacturing preferred) • Experience in managing warehouse, transportation, and 3PL providers • Strong knowledge of import/export, customs, and logistics processes • Experience with ERP/WMS systems
