Salary: £37,000 - 68,500 per year
Requirements: Strong commercial experience in data engineering and modern data platforms.Advanced programming skills in Java or Python.Expertise working with technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Flink or similar distributed data frameworks.Experience delivering solutions within AWS or other major cloud platforms.Strong understanding of data architecture, scalability and performance optimisation.Experience working with containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment approaches.Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience supporting or leading technical teams within complex delivery environments. Responsibilities: Design and deliver scalable data platforms and engineering solutions.Lead the development of batch and real-time data pipelines.Drive best practice across data architecture, engineering standards and governance.Work with cloud-native technologies to develop high-performing data solutions.Support DevOps adoption, automation and CI/CD processes.Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders across multiple projects.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability development.Support technical decision-making and solution design activities.
