About this role

Job summary

The Family Practice is seeking a dedicated individual to join our reception team. As a frontline staff member, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our service users and visitors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

The position is part-time, 8 hours working Saturdays 9am-5pm

Requirements:

Previous experience in General Practice is not mandatory, but effective communication and teamwork skills are necessary. Familiarity with Emis web is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Patient arrival and check in- greeting patients and confirming identity details. Administrative tasks Clinic room preparation Maintain patient confidentiality Adhere to the practice's policies and procedures. Complete any necessary training. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Provide support to clinical staff with general tasks as required.

The Family Practice, situated in Blackburn's town centre, boasts a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our team comprises of 2 GP Partners, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 Clinical Pharmacists, 1 Pharmacy technician, 1 Practice Nurse, and our dedicated administration team.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

A good level of English and Maths is essential. GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.

Desirable

Prior experience in a GP practice or another healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMIS Web.
