FlexStaff is seeking a temp-to-perm Regional Field Nurse Supervisor for our client, a non-profit healthcare organization providing home and community-based healthcare and services for the elderly. The Regional Field Nurse Supervisor is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in their homes. Conduct supervisory joint visits with Field Nurses. Provide training/in-service education to professional clinical field staff and paraprofessional staff. Perform nursing duties as assigned in the Diagnostic & Treatment Center (DTC) or Medical Practice. In addition, this role serves as a clinical oversight and quality monitoring resource for home-based clinical services.
• Locations: Uniondale, NY • Setting: Field and On-site. • Pay Rate: $74/hr • Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, (1 hour lunch) • Contract Length: Temp to perm opportunity based on performance and business needs • Additional Requirement: Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable vehicle required JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clinical Oversight, Quality Monitoring & Management-Driven Responsibilities as assigned. • Conduct audits and validate clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with evidence-based nursing practice. • Perform joint supervisory field visits with clinical field staff, observe skills competencies, and provide oversight and supervision to paraprofessional staff. • Collaborate with partner organizations, care coordinators, and Interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs. • Adhere to all clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines. • Supervise, instruct, and guide CHNs, Personal Care Aides, or Home Health Aides. • Provide clinical leadership and operational oversight for assigned cases by coordinating care activities, monitoring service delivery. QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: accredited school of nursing is required. • Licensure: Current active and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in New York State. • Completed NYSED-approved infection control coursework. • Experience: Minimum of three (3+) years of clinical nursing experience, including 1-2 years in home care or a similar healthcare setting, preferred. SKILLS:
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills and the capacity to manage multiple cases effectively. • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population or, if the individual has less than one (1) year of experience but • meets all other requirements, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization on working with a frail or elderly population upon hiring. • Proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Experience with long-term care or managed care systems beneficial. • Vehicle and current New York State driver's license required. • Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date • Additional Requirements: Available for Weekends /nights/on-call coverage as needed. *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
