Requirements: We need substantial hands-on NetSuite SuiteScript development experience, ideally 4+ years across all major script types with a demonstrable production track record.We need deep working experience of Celigo integrator.io, including flow architecture, error handling at scale and complex transformations.We need demonstrable design and architectural responsibility on a NetSuite implementation or estate, not just build-to-spec experience.We need strong NetSuite data model fluency, including saved searches, custom records, scripted versus workflow trade-offs, and governance and performance considerations.We need experience operating as a senior individual contributor, including code review, mentoring and technical decision-making.We can also consider candidates with deep Celigo integrator.io expertise plus working NetSuite experience and a strong JavaScript or TypeScript background.We can also consider senior integration architects from comparable platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft or Workato, with NetSuite exposure and a willingness to specialise in Celigo.We can also consider senior developers or architects from comparable mid-market ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage Intacct or Acumatica, with strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills and a credible NetSuite learning path.NetSuite SuiteCloud Developer II or Administrator certification is desirable.CPQ tooling experience is desirable.Manufacturing ERP functionality exposure, including inventory, work orders and BOMs, is desirable.Git-based source control and CI/CD experience for NetSuite, using tools such as Salto, Blue Yonder or equivalent, is desirable.SQL, Python or other scripting languages for tooling and data work are desirable.Experience in manufacturing, distribution or food and beverage sectors is desirable.Experience with BI tooling, particularly Phocas, is desirable.We need someone comfortable as a senior technical voice without being the line manager, and collaborative with both the IT Manager and the existing development team.We need a mentoring mindset and a genuine interest in helping to level up the team.We need a pragmatic approach to engineering rigour, applying standards proportionately to the business context.We need strong written and verbal communication with non-technical stakeholders.We need commitment to our agreed on-site working pattern.We require the right to work in the United Kingdom. Responsibilities: We will use you as the design authority for NetSuite customisation and integration, including architectural decisions, technical standards, code review and design sign-off on non-trivial work.You will lead the design and build of our most complex SuiteScript work, including Map/Reduce at scale, performance-critical Suitelets and RESTlets, and advanced workflow logic.You will act as the escalation point for the team on technical problems.You will own our integration architecture end to end, including flow design patterns, error handling and recovery, monitoring strategy, onboarding new endpoints and retiring legacy integrations where required.You will establish and maintain platform engineering disciplines, including SuiteCloud Development Framework, source control, sandbox and release management, deployment pipelines and governance limit monitoring.You will mentor and upskill our development team through pairing, structured knowledge transfer, code review and technical coaching.You will partner with the IT Manager on the platform roadmap, technical debt management and Phase 2 manufacturing technical design.You will engage directly with business stakeholders on the most complex requirements and translate them into technical design and supporting documentation.You will contribute to third-line support as an escalation specialist for our most complex incidents. We are William Smith Group 1832 Limited, implementing Oracle NetSuite as our core ERP platform with Celigo as the integration layer. Phase 1 covers core back-office functions, warehousing and distribution, and Phase 2 will add manufacturing functionality. We have an in-house development team of two Senior Developers plus a further developer who is growing their NetSuite skills, and this role will add senior technical depth and specialist breadth to that team. This is a senior individual contributor role, parallel to the IT Manager on the technical track, with genuine design authority and influence over our long-term technical direction. We offer a full-time, permanent position based in Barnard Castle, County Durham, with a hybrid working pattern requiring a minimum of two days on-site per week.
