Requirements: We are looking for someone with a scientific background, ideally gained in a laboratory, life sciences, biotechnology, or technical instrumentation environment.We require proven experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software faults.Previous experience in an IT support role is essential.A science degree or medical background is advantageous.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.We need knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.We are looking for a practical, detail-focused, and people-oriented approach.A full UK driving licence is required. Responsibilities: We diagnose, troubleshoot, and coordinate the repair of hardware and software faults on advanced equipment.We manage workshop-based investigations and repairs of equipment returned from customer sites.We use diagnostic software and technical processes to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.We provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote support tools.We work closely with colleagues and technical teams to resolve complex issues.We maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and customer support cases within our CRM system.We support field-based engineers throughout the UK when required.We occasionally accompany Field Service Engineers to customer sites across locations such as Oxford, Cambridge, and London.We provide IT support to office and field-based staff.We troubleshoot day-to-day issues such as Windows 11, password resets, and user access.We support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and general IT systems.We assist with onboarding and offboarding, equipment setup, and IT asset tracking.We liaise with central IT teams for escalations. We are offering a full-time, permanent Technical Service Engineer position based in Aylesbury, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break.
