Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements: Strong commercial experience developing applications with Kotlin.Excellent knowledge of Java and the wider JVM ecosystem.Experience building backend solutions using Spring Boot and related frameworks.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API development.Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.Exposure to containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.Strong understanding of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing and Agile delivery.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of frontend technologies such as TypeScript or Node.js.Experience delivering large-scale digital transformation programmes. Responsibilities: Build and deliver enterprise-scale applications using Kotlin and modern JVM technologies.Help shape technical solutions, architecture decisions and engineering standards across projects.Develop scalable microservices and APIs that support critical digital services.Work within multidisciplinary agile teams alongside Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and Engineers.Drive engineering best practice across testing, automation, deployment and software quality.Contribute to cloud-native solutions deployed across modern public cloud environments.Support and mentor other developers, helping to grow technical capability within the wider team.Play a key role in delivering user-focused software that balances performance, security and maintainability.
