Salary: £148,742.4 - 148,742.4 per year
Requirements: Active SC Clearance is required for this role.Experience within defence, aerospace, MOD, government, or other secure environments.Experience supporting Windows Server and/or Linux platforms.Understanding of cloud technologies, ideally Microsoft Azure.Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.Exposure to VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or container technologies.Interest in automation, DevOps practices, and modern platform engineering. Responsibilities: Support secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.Assist with Microsoft Azure administration and cloud platform operations.Maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.Support virtualisation platforms and enterprise hosting solutions.Work with Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms.Monitor system performance, availability, and resilience.Support incident management, troubleshooting, and service improvements.Contribute to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell.Support secure infrastructure changes, documentation, and operational processes. We are supporting a defence client on the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), a landmark international defence initiative developing the future combat air system. This is a 12-month contract based in Reading with a hybrid working arrangement of three days per week on site. You will play a key role in delivering the next generation of UK defence capability, working on highly sensitive MOD and aerospace programmes and helping build and support the secure digital infrastructure that underpins mission-critical defence capability.
