We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Grendon & Spring Hill, located in Buckinghamshire.

HMP Grendon is a Category B men's prison that operates entirely as a set of democratic therapeutic communities focusing on intensive group psychotherapy for violent and sexual offenders. HMP Springhill is a Category D open resettlement prison for adult males, focused on preparing individuals for release through work, education, and ROTL. The Healthcare teams cover both prisons but located between one carpark. Due to location you must be a driver, free onsite parking, gym facilities and cafe. Hours

37.5 hours working a 2 week rota including alternate weekends. No nights. Shifts will vary between 8am-4.30pm and longest shift is 07:30 19:00hrs. Weekend shifts are 7.45am-5pm.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £33,510 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Provide outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them You will contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care. Deliver non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks. Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of Promote best practice, evidence based care and continuous quality improvement embedding a culture of shared learning. You will promote patient wellbeing through our overarching Wellbeing Approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding to our patients. Qualifications required:

Qualified Nurse Associate Currently registered with the NMC Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people Phlebotomy experience / long term conditions - desirable Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register Evidence of post registration CPD in areas relating to current practice Competent in medicine management processes Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
