We have an exciting opportunity for a Complex Care Mental Health Practitioner to join the Integrated Mental Health team at HMP Wakefield, a category A prison in Wakefield.
Great opportunities for Mental Health triage training and other courses available, plus Clinical Supervision and buzz sessions. Parking on-site. Hours
37.5 hours working across 5 days including some bank holidays. Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 or 08:00-18:00, working 1 in 5 weekends, Saturday/Sunday 8:30-16:30.
One late shift a week, finishing at 6pm and can then finish early another day in the week or accrue the time back. This will also include 1x weekend duty shared across the rota. No night shifts.
Salary
This position is full time time, youll receive an annual salary £49,175 - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Complex Care Mental Health Practitioner, you will:
Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan. Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care Inspire excellence in your colleagues by pro-actively leading and motivating the team You will forge strong links with our partners and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of. Qualifications required
Registered nurse Mental Health Current professional qualification (NMC) Strong innovation with the ability to drive the team forward, can adapt to change, embed pathways, offer coaching Evidence of Continued Professional Development Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of mental health policy including clinical governance and the quality and outcomes framework, along with national standards such as NICE Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively. Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
