We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Senior Mental Health Nurse to join team at HMP Moorland, a men's category C Prison and young offender institution located in South Yorkshire.

Free parking, low turnover of staff, wellbeing days, strong relationships and partnerships, Triage and assessment training, segregation training, PPG pathway, good inductions Hours

25 hours a week working 08:00 - 18:00 or 08:00-16:00. Week 1 - 2x long days, Week 2 - 3x long days, but flexible. Does include 1 in 7 weekends.

Salary

This position is part time, youll receive an annual salary from £29,072.67 to £32,783.33 per annum, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse your responsibilities will vary. You will:

Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan. Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. You will play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding. You will forge strong links with our partners and stakeholders, providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within, and feel proud of. Qualifications:

Registered nurse Mental Health Current professional qualification (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Experience of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of mental health policy including clinical governance and the quality and outcomes framework, along with national standards such as NICE Ability to assess and manage patient risk effectively.
