About this role

Job summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic orthopaedic team. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients across Trauma and Orthopaedics. There are 2 x Permanentposts. You will have excellent communication skills, clinical competence, and a passion for supporting and developing colleagues. Opportunities for professional development, including mentoring, shadowing, and skills training, are available.

Main duties of the job

Provide safe, compassionate care to surgical patients, including assessment, planning, and delivery of treatments. Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and respond to changes in condition. Support patients and families, work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and contribute to quality improvement, audits, and mentoring of junior staff.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

NMC Registered

Experience Essential

Recent experience in an acute NHS hospital.

Desirable

EXperience of contributing to hospital/unit wide initiatives Experience in using electronic patient records e.g. CRS

Skills Essential

Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

Phlebotomy and Cannulation skills

Knowledge Essential

Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to your professional code of conduct and guidance issued by the relevant professional body.
