Job summary

We are seeking a Specialist Registered Dermatology Consultant to join our community-based team at Health Harmonie. This role involves delivering consultant-led dermatology services closer to patients homes, reducing waiting times and improving access to specialist care in partnership with the NHS. You will manage a wide range of dermatological conditions and perform diagnostic and minor surgical procedures in a modern, patient-focused environment.

Main duties of the job

As a Dermatology Consultant, you will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with various skin conditions. These include chronic eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, skin infections, and benign or malignant skin lesions. You will also perform minor surgical procedures such as excisions, biopsies, cryotherapy, and intralesional injections.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough clinical consultations and developing treatment plans.Performing diagnostic procedures including dermoscopy and skin biopsies.Managing minor surgical interventions for skin lesions.Ensuring compliance with clinical governance, CQC standards, and NHS interface guidance.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care.Participating in audits, teaching, and service development initiatives.

GMC registration with Specialist Dermatology accreditation.Completed specialist training in Dermatology (Consultant level or equivalent).Strong diagnostic and procedural skills in dermatology and minor surgery.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Previous experience in outpatient or community dermatology services is desirable.DBS clearance required.
