We are seeking an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join our busy gynaecology ward, providing high-quality care to women undergoing a range of surgical and medical treatments. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a friendly multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering safe, respectful, and patient-centred care.

Cley GynaecologyCley Gynaecology is 16-bedded gynaecology surgical ward with a gynaecology emergency pathway. We provide careand treatment for a wide range of patients with gynaecological conditions, including urogynaecology and oncology. We care for patients pre and post operatively. We also care for those experiencing early pregnancy complications includinghyperemesis miscarriage and terminations.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting patients with personal care and daily living activities Supporting registered nurses with clinical duties and patient observations Maintaining patient comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times Preparing equipment and ensuring a clean, safe ward environment Providing emotional support to patients and relatives Accurately documenting care and reporting concerns appropriately

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

City and Guilds NVQ Level 3/ T levels/ A levels in Care/Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent experience Completion of care certificate within 12 weeks of start date

Experience Essential

Some previous experience in a nursing/Care Assistant role which can be demonstrated against the requirements of the role.

Attitude, aptitude Essential

Caring and compassionate with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Effective role model, demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focussed, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence Demonstrates understanding and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
