Job summary

Are you looking to step up into a senior admin role? Or have a change of pace in your work?

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic member of staff to join the Forensic Inpatient Ward team at Kennet Ward, Oxford Clinic as the Business and Performance Manager. You will provide an administrative, management and a performance focus.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure that the team are meeting their requirements to deliver the performance agenda which will involve the requirement to process data, analyse the results and link in with the individual clinicians as required. They will also be responsible for the overall co-ordination of the administrative function of the team, including the management and supervision of the other administrative staff working in the Team.

The ideal candidate needs to be flexible and comfortable working autonomously and making important decisions for the team, so you need to have excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills. We are a very friendly team, and your professionalism, initiative and ability to take responsibility for the smooth running of our office will be warmly welcomed. The leadership team are always open to new ideas so you will be able to be creative and implement systems and processes that work for you and your team.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Experience of working in an administrative/secretarial role Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data and letters. Experience and evidence of analysing, interpreting and presenting information Experience of supervising and leading teams Experience of developing administrative systems and procedures

Desirable

Experience of working in a healthcare environment Business administration or management qualification.

Knowledge and Skills Essential

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Ability to develop effective systems and procedures

Desirable

Knowledge of NHS national data sets. Knowledge of NHS performance agenda.
