Priory Hospital Hazelwood House has an opportunity for a Speciality Doctor to join our team.
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
This is an in-person role, where you will provide out-of-hours on-call support. You will also participate in the regional hospital on-call rota, providing on-call cover approximately 1 in every 5 days.

About us
Priory Hospital Hazelwood House, Heath, Derbyshire is a low secure unit for 12 males with mental health needs. It is accessible by public transport, with Chesterfield railway station approximately 23 miles from the service and limited local bus links. Due to the service's location, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

Person Specification
Requirements Essential
Essential for the role The successful candidate will hold an MBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification, with full registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC), and will remain in good standing with the GMC. They will demonstrate experience working in psychiatry and comply with the professional standards expected of medical practitioners working within psychiatric services.
Desirable
The following experience would be beneficial Section 12 approval and/or MRCPsych is beneficial.
