Location: Hybrid, 30 hours remote and 10 hours protected clinical practice.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate nurse to join our team in a dual role that combines remote clinical helpline support with hands on homecare nursing.

As part of this unique position, you will:

Provide expert, timely advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals through our out-of-hours Clinical Helpline. Deliver safe, high-quality direct patient care at home for individuals receiving parenteral nutrition.This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact, offering both the reassurance of professional guidance and the continuity of personalised care in patients homes.

Main duties of the job

Provide expert, timely advice to patients, families and healthcare professionals through our Clinical Helpline. Assess, triage and manage clinical enquiries, ensuring safe and appropriate escalation where required. Deliver regular patient facing clinical care through protected homecare practice to maintain competence in specialist nursing skills. Contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care and continuous service improvement. Requirements & Qualifications

Current NMC registration (Adult or Paediatric). Minimum 2 years post-registration nursing experience, ideally with community or homecare exposure. Confident in using and teaching clinical monitoring equipment. Experience in clinical training, mentorship, or education is desirable. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.

Deliver safe, effective nursing care in accordance with clinical protocols, service standards, and professional guidelines Provide patient-centred education and training to individuals, families, and carers on managing Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and associated therapies Establish and maintain effective clinical relationships with hospital and community healthcare professionals to support integrated care Monitor, document, and escalate clinical incidents or adverse events in line with governance and reporting procedures Ensure ongoing compliance with infection control, clinical policies, and the safe use and maintenance of medical equipment

Person Specification

Experience Essential

NMC registration (Adult or Childrens Nurse) Minimum 1 year of post-registration experience Full UK driving licence Comfortable using IT systems and Android devices

Desirable

Experience with CVAD or parenteral nutrition Knowledge of outpatient antibiotic therapy or iron management
