Main duties of the job As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll ensure we provide a clean and well-maintained environment, helping residents feel at home and allowing staff to perform their duties effectively. Your role entails a variety of tasks within the care home building as well as the gardens and grounds. Responsibilities include fixing issues like leaky taps and planting bulbs, working independently, leading a team, and assisting in annual budget planning with the General Manager. You will also liaise with contractors for work beyond your team's expertise. This role requires hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, the ability to perform diverse maintenance tasks, reliability, and flexibility in working hours. You must hold a full UK driving licence, have IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent). Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Hands-on experience of property maintenance, at least one trade skill, full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
