Job summary
We are a very busy General Practice located in the heart of Blackburn, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Quality & Long-Term Conditions Administrator to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will work alongside our small Quality team to support the management and delivery of quality contracts relating to long-term conditions for our patient population.
We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and proactive, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a small team. Experience within a GP practice, NHS or healthcare setting would be advantageous, although a willingness to learn and a commitment to providing a high-quality service are equally important.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, supporting patient care and contributing to the ongoing quality improvement of a busy General Practice.
Main duties of the job
A key part of the role will also be supporting and encouraging patient uptake of important national screening programmes, including:
Breast screening Bowel cancer screening Cervical screening (cytology)You will help identify opportunities to improve screening uptake, maintain accurate patient records and support the practice in meeting its quality targets and contractual requirements.

Job Summary:
To ensure administrative and clerical duties within the practice are carried out with in the practices guidelines and policies.
To ensure the day-to-day activities of the practice are carried out accordingly.
Ensure legal requirements are always met.
Job responsibilities:
Maintain self and team professionalism
Keep the health care team informed of any matters arising as necessary, or as requested by other members of the health care team
Keep the Quality Lead informed of any matters arising or potential problems
Call and recall for Cytology
Ensure all tasks are completed on a regular basis
Be able to learn the system and adapt to any changes
Work alongside Quality Lead to ensure all targets are met
To liaise with IT support department to resolve other hardware and software issues.
Encourage and develop good working practices among members of staff
Able to work on own initiative
Special statistical or data reports as required
Be able to carry out audits and report the data found
As requested by the Practice Manager prepare statistical or data reports
GMS Contract
Provide support to the Quality Lead to achieve the targets associated with GMS contract i.e., QOF and Childhood Immunisations
Monitor performance in cervical and breast screening to ensure practice meets targets and take remedial action if practice achievement falls.
